Diaper Rash Relief
Now that our little "pooper" has officially gone past his due date I'm getting rather anxious to put into practice all the wonderful tips that I've learned over the years as well as the ones other brilliant mommies have passed on to me. One of which is to use this amazing stuff called "Boudreaux's Butt Paste." Now I just laughed at the name of the stuff when I first saw it, but then I got to talking to some friends who have had plenty of red irritated hineys to help, and guess what? They all said that this is the "best stuff out there" for those diaper rash issues!! Who would have thunk. I happen to know that you can purchase this stuff on Amazon for about $12, but have also been told that it's available at Wal-Mart and other drug stores. So next time you're little baby's bottom isn't quite as soft and lovely as a baby's butt should be, try this "paste" and see what miracles are awaiting!
Play time = Learning time
I came across this cool site today called ebeanstalk.com and you who have children should really check it out. It's got a lot of age appropriate developmental toys on it and they come in series which is pretty cool. Some of it seems a little pricey, but if you have some doting grandparents who are always looking to get the munchkins "something" and if you're like me and you'd rather the toys be "purposeful" then you might want to direct them to this site. That way you can get something that's the right age for your kids and something that will be somewhat "educational." Personally after having been in child care for awhile now I like toys that have a purpose. It's not that I think play time should be "school time" but I think that toys that help them with muscle coordination and hand/eye coordination and manipulatives and things that will help them develop their imaginations are good, and they make playtime more fun and interesting anyway. So there's my plug. You might just want to check out the site for nothing more than ideas, but I thought it was pretty cool.
